Alpenrise is one short climb a night, in the browser. Your child answers about ten questions; anything they miss comes back on its own at 2, 7 and 21 nights, until it stops being a mistake.
The mountain is at alpenrise.app/mountain. There is nothing to install and no sign-up. Pick a subject and choose Find my rung: a short adaptive placement (about 24 questions) gives that subject a rung on one mountain, and the rung reads back in your school’s own words — 40 countries plus Cambridge and IB. Choose your school system at the start; if your country is not listed, choose Any country and the rung reads as an age, which means the same everywhere.
After that it is about ten questions a night. The bar along the bottom of the mountain has six tabs: Ascent is tonight’s climb, Train holds the extra practice and the exam routes, Patrol brings back what slipped, Logbook keeps your misses and why they went wrong, Map is the mountain itself, and the Pack holds your school system, your devices and sync. The ? at the top explains the rest.
The mountain shows where your child stands in each subject. An exam route is the climb to one exam: Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics 0580 (Core or Extended) or IB Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches SL. Open it from Train. Each route follows that syllabus’s own topics and papers, with a calculator or without, as the paper says. Topic sets are short; a summit day is a full mock paper against the clock. Everything is marked once, on our server, all-or-nothing per answer — a real paper would also give method marks, so treat the score as a floor, not a prediction.
Anyone can look at the routes. Working through them is part of Pro, and the free trial opens them. Every question is original, written to the published syllabus topic lists; none is copied from a past paper, and no exam board has reviewed or endorsed them. No, and they never will. The mountain works without signing in. From the first climb its progress is saved in that browser and, under a random id with no name or email, on our server. Carrying on from another computer does not need an account either: a climber code from the Pack is enough (see Another device below). A parent account is optional: it is where a plan lives, and where you see your child’s week.
Sign in at alpenrise.app/account with your email address. We send a six-digit code; there is no password to remember, and the address is the only personal detail we hold.
The mountain, the placement and ten questions a night are free for everyone, without an account. Pro shows a parent where the marks go (which kind of slip costs the most, and the accuracy trend) and opens all four subjects every night for the child, with extra rounds and the practice sets, trap hunts, sprints and kit, drawn from the whole question bank, and the exam routes for Cambridge IGCSE Maths 0580 and IB Maths AA SL. Each child gets 14 nights of Pro once, from the night they are first linked to a parent account, without a card (21 with a rope-team code from another family); when it ends you drop back to the free side and nothing is charged.
Alpenrise is sold by Bravo Consulting Limited (New Zealand); payments are processed by Stripe on its secure checkout page. Monthly and annual plans renew until you cancel; cancel any time from the billing portal on your account page, and Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for.

Erase all progress in the mountain’s Pack clears that browser. Unlink and delete, or Delete my account, on your account page removes what our server holds. The rest is in the privacy policy.
